In July 2005 The Famous Glasgow Rangers came to Portman Road to play Ipswich Town in a pre-season friendly. It was then
that it became apparant how much support there was for the Gers locally.
Shortly after this date the Ipswich Loyal RSC was formed. We started watching games in The Hare and Hounds. a change
of management forced us to try 2 other pubs. Whilst the location was great unfortunately it was a great struggle to find another
pub to work with us. It was due to this that we moved over to Kesgrave and made The Kesgrave Bell our home.
We are in our second year at The Bell and cannot thank Sam and the staff their enough for the hospitality and welcome
we get there.
Since the club has been running we have had group trips up to Ibrox as well as across Europe. For the Ted McMinn benefit
game we gave members a free coach trip up to Derby for the game. We have even been represented on the pitch at Ibrox.
During the past few years we have sold over 350 items of merchandise and still have polo shirts for sale.
We have had 3 great end of season dances twice being proud to welcome the Thornlie Boys down to Ipswich to provide
the entertainment and more recently a boat trip on the Orwell. The club is going from strength to strength and we now have
just under 50 members.
